Job Summary
Are you a clinician with a caseload who wants to be on your own but tired of working alone? PFCS may be the place for you! We are seeking dedicated and compassionate licensed professionals (LCPC; LMHC; LCSW; LMFT; LCADC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with individuals, families, couples, and groups to address a range of mental health issues, utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients in their journey toward wellness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and intake evaluations to determine client needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, EMDR or psychodynamic therapy.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, including grief counseling, addiction counseling, and crisis intervention.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and effective case management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
- Engage in crisis management and behavior management strategies for clients experiencing acute distress.
- Provide support for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and chronic pain conditions.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions when necessary.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance therapeutic practices and outcomes.
Requirements
- Valid state license in Nevada as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or equivalent credential (LCSW; LMHC; LMFT; LCADC).
- Associate-level counselors (CPC-I) encouraged to apply; associate-level clinicians (LMSW, MHC, MFT-I) must have Board-approved supervisor.
- Experience in psychotherapy, including child & family counseling, individual counseling, and group therapy.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices, including applied behavior analysis and behavioral therapy.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention, patient assessment, and case management.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records documentation.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including geriatrics and individuals with disabilities.
- Previous hospital or clinic experience is preferred; experience in outpatient settings is a plus.
- Proficiency in telehealth technology is highly desirable.
