Position: Loan Documentation Processor
Reports To: Sr. Loan Systems Administrator
Indirectly Reports to: Senior Vice President of Loan Operations

Role Summary:
Responsible for preparation of early loan disclosures, loan closing documents, and documentation for modifications and renewals of existing credits.
Specific Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities):

Entry of loan request information into documentation preparation system for the completion of all loan related documents. This includes but is not limited to:

Newly originated loan documents such as promissory notes and security documents.

Loan estimates and closing disclosures in compliance with federal regulations.

Change-in-terms agreements for the modification and renewal of existing credits.

Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations as well as applicable bank policies that must be in place prior to loan closing. This includes but is not be limited to:

Ensuring that loan request is not subject to HOEPA.

Verifying that a registered business customer has an active status with the Secretary of State of NC or Corporate Commission Office of VA.

Checking active-duty status of a consumer in connection with the Military Lending Act.

Not issuing closing documentation for real estate secured loans without the existence of a Flood Certification or Flood Insurance, if applicable.

Verifying lender has collected the identifying information for business owners in compliance with federal regulations.

Assist branch lending personnel with any preparation questions and corrections needed to ensure accurate closing documents.

Complete mailing to bank customers of all required early disclosures.

Being able to understand and navigate loan origination system in order to extract loan request information necessary for the completion of the document preparation process.

Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

Bank operations experience preferred

Good understanding of lending practices, state and federal regulatory rules and constraints

Excellent organization, communication, and listening skills

Education/Experience Requirements:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
-
One to two years of previous experience in banking preferred

Capable user of standard office equipment/software applications
