Overview
Join our dynamic mental health team as a Registered Intern Counselor, where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based mental health services. Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and intake evaluations using clinical documentation standards and DSM criteria.
- Support the delivery of individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
- Participate in crisis intervention and crisis management efforts to ensure client safety and stabilization.
- Document clinical notes accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals and needs.
- Engage in research activities or data collection to support continuous improvement of clinical practices.
- Provide telehealth therapy services, ensuring effective communication and engagement with clients remotely.
- Provide in school therapy services, some in-office services may be needed as well.
Skills
- Strong foundation in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, and behavtior management techniques.
- Experience working with children, youth, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, co-occurring disorders, or chronic pain conditions.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols for diverse populations.
- Ability to conduct mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations effectively.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering clinical services remotely with professionalism and empathy.
- Excellent client communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to client care across inpatient, outpatient, or clinic settings.

Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
