Lakeside Presbyterian Church is a vibrant, mid-sized congregation in the PC(USA) whose mission is to worship, learn, and serve. We're looking for an organized, people-first Office & Facilities Manager to run the day-to-day operations of our church office and keep our building running smoothly — working closely with our pastor, staff, and volunteers.
If you like variety, enjoy being the person who makes things run on time, and want a role where your organization skills directly support a community, this could be a great fit.
What You'll Do
Front Office & Community
- Greet visitors and guests with warmth and professionalism
- Assemble the weekly newsletter and manage the subscriber list
- Manage the church calendar (Zoom for meetings, Google Calendar for building use)
- Produce the weekly worship bulletin and help recruit volunteers for worship roles
- Support committees with meeting logistics and email communications
Administration
- Maintain church records (baptism, membership, wedding certificates, online directory)
- Keep the office and building entryways clean, organized, and welcoming
- Liaise with the on-site preschool to keep communication flowing
Facilities & Vendors
- Triage building repair issues and coordinate with the Buildings & Grounds Committee
- Manage vendor relationships (cleaning, pest control, HVAC, landscaping/snow removal)
- Track invoices against vendor contracts with the financial assistant
- Oversee the security/alarm system, including keys, codes, and annual inspections
- Set up rooms for programs and events; manage HVAC settings
What We're Looking For
- Office experience (nonprofit or church experience a plus)
- Strong organization, multitasking, and time-management skills
- Comfortable handling confidential/sensitive information
- Great written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Word
- Comfortable with basic office equipment (printers, etc.)
- A team player who's happy working with volunteers, staff, and the public
- High school diploma required; admin/secretarial certification a plus
- Respect for LPC's commitment to welcoming people of all backgrounds, identities, and beliefs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
