Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical wiring, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems, electrical wiring diagrams interpretation, and welding.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to execute repairs with precision and efficiency.
- Interpret schematics and automotive wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical problems accurately.
- Repair and maintain diesel engines, vehicle transmission systems, and perform alignment services to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems, including sensors and ADAS components, ensuring safety features operate correctly.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, managing expectations, and ensuring vehicle safety standards are met or exceeded.
Experience
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics using specialized tools and software.
- Mechanical knowledge spanning powertrain components, vehicle suspension system repair, transmissions, and vehicle systems overall.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus.
- Experience in auto estimating processes and working with automotive service documentation.
- Skilled in welding techniques and the use of various hand tools for mechanical repairs.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret automotive schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Strong customer service skills combined with technical proficiency to deliver high-quality service consistently.
