Healthcare Assistants/EMT
Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for EMTs to partner with us in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti. This will be a deployed, rotational contract offering various rotational deployment cycles.
The team will be based in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, and all service delivery requirements will be conducted within the confines of that facility.
Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services.
Qualification Requirements

Completion of an accredited Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training program or Health Care Assistant / Paramedic diploma from a recognized training institution in a UN Member State.

Training must include basic anatomy and physiology, pre-hospital emergency care, trauma management, and patient transport procedures.

A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible clinical experience as an Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, or Health Care Assistant in pre-hospital or emergency settings, including trauma, mass casualty, or disaster response environments.

Must possess current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent emergency medical response training obtained or renewed within 12 months prior to deployment.

Certification in infection prevention and control (IPC) and basic triage and stabilization procedures is required.

Must be currently registered, licensed, or certified by a national regulatory or professional authority (Ministry of Health, Emergency Medical Council, or equivalent) in their respective country or another UN Member State.

License or certification validity should cover the full duration of deployment.

In lieu of formal registration (where not applicable), a certificate of competency or good standing from the recognized training institution or relevant national authority must be provided.

Completion of board-certified or post-graduate certified specialty training in Advanced Emergency Medical Response, Paramedic Operations, or Field Trauma Care by an accredited training body in a UN Member State is desirable.

At least two (2) years of operational experience as a certified EMT or paramedic, including demonstrated ability to perform pre-hospital stabilization, airway management, hemorrhage control, and patient evacuation under field or conflict conditions.

Currently certified and authorized to practice as an Emergency Medical Technician or Health Care Assistant independently and without supervision in his/her own country or another UN Member State.
