What You Will Be Doing:
Under the direct supervision of the Dish Crew Supervisor and Dish Crew Assistant Supervisor, to be responsible for the overall operation of the dish room.
Essential Functions:

- Must become proficient in proper operation of all Dish Room equipment safely and efficiently.
- Responsible to ensure that the Dish Room and all related areas are kept clean and sanitary and all procedures conform to the Chicago Health Department and Dining Services standards.
- Understanding of all the work stations of the dish room crew and be proficient in the responsibilities of each.
- Responsible to ensure the clear communication of all needs of the business, including equipment needing repair to the Dish Crew Supervisor on duty.
- Be familiar with the different types of cleaning agents used in the dish room and the proper usage of each. Knowledge and use the correct quantity. Refer to the MSDS book.
- Follow Dining Services operational policy and procedures, including those for opening/closing each shift, and safety/security, to ensure the safety of all team members and guests during each shift
- Performs related and special duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1+ years supervisory experience in a high volume high volume college food service or restaurant environment
- Must be able to take direction have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to communicate efficiently to help keep all team members informed
- Team oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic
Preferred Requirements:
- 2+ years of work experience in food service
Work Environment/Conditions:
- High volume food service environment on a college campus washing dishware
- High noise levels working with industrial washing equipment.
- Working with multiple crew members to efficiently serve customers
- Maintain efficiency of equipment to properly sanitize dishes.
