We pride ourselves on safety, precision, and professionalism. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dependable and experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our hardworking team in Alabaster, AL.
Position Overview
As a Class A CDL Driver, you will play a vital role in transporting heavy equipment, materials, and machinery to and from job sites. You’ll work closely with our field crews and operations team to ensure timely and safe deliveries that keep our projects running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles including flatbeds, lowboys, and dump trucks.
- Transport construction equipment (e.g., excavators, directional drills, trailers) to job sites.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Secure loads properly using chains, binders, and tarps as needed.
- Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Assist with loading/unloading and basic equipment setup when required.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and crew leaders.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean MVR.
- Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience, preferably in construction or utility work.
- Experience hauling heavy equipment and operating trailers (lowboy, gooseneck, etc.).
- Knowledge of DOT safety regulations and hours-of-service rules.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-first attitude.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
