Job Summary
We are seeking dependable, flexible, and professional Unarmed Security Rovers to join our growing team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety and are comfortable working at multiple client locations.
As a Security Rover, you will provide coverage at various sites based on operational needs. Officers must be able to travel between assigned posts, adapt quickly to different environments, and maintain a high level of professionalism while ensuring the safety and security of each property. This role requires excellent attendance, flexibility, and open availability to accept assigned shifts.
There is potential for a permanent assigned schedule in the future based on business needs and performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide security coverage at multiple client locations as assigned.
- Travel to various worksites throughout the service area and report to assignments on time.
- Conduct routine foot patrols of buildings, parking lots, and surrounding property to deter criminal activity and identify safety concerns.
- Monitor premises through patrols and surveillance systems to help prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations.
- Write detailed, accurate, and timely incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation.
- Communicate professionally through email, phone, and other company communication platforms.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents.
- Assist with conflict resolution using effective communication and de-escalation techniques.
- Work cooperatively with clients, coworkers, emergency responders, and law enforcement when necessary.
- Utilize CCTV and other security equipment when available.
- Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid Guard Card
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable personal transportation and the ability to commute to multiple job sites.
- Open availability, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to accept shifts based on operational staffing needs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent observation, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods while conducting patrols.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- For locations requiring bicycle patrols, applicants must be able to safely ride a bicycle and conduct patrols by bike.
