Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant Host/Hostess to join The Pretty Penny Steakhouse team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring they have an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and previous experience in hospitality or food service environments. This position offers an opportunity to be the first point of contact for guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and waitlists using Resy
- Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, handle guest inquiries, and take reservations
- Maintain guest relations by providing attentive service and addressing any special requests or concerns
- Coordinate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth flow of service and timely seating
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized host stand area
- Support guest services by providing information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service/hospitality is required
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and guest relations best practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor with good phone etiquette
- Experience in hotel guest services or serving is a plus but not required
