About Us: Kidz First Daycare Ministry is a faith-based childcare center dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for children to grow, learn, and thrive. We are seeking a Christ following, passionate, and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team and make a lasting impact on the lives of young children.
Position Overview: The Nursery Teacher is responsible for structuring and implementing an age-appropriate environment that promotes the spiritual, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children in their care. The teacher will maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment while fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement daily activities that support early childhood development and align with a faith-based curriculum.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized nursery.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing nursery.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding their child's day.
- Observe and assess children, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with other teacher to create a cohesive environment.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and 2 per year - church-related events as needed.
- Follow all daycare policies, procedures, and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to upholding the values and mission of a faith-based ministry.
