West L.A. cocktail bar, Sorry Not Sorry, is seeking to hire an experienced culinary professional with strong leadership abilities for the "Lead Line Cook" position.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading kitchen operations during service while maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, cleanliness, organization, and teamwork, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities include supervising and supporting line cooks and prep staff, assisting with training and onboarding, maintaining kitchen sanitation standards, monitoring prep levels and inventory, and helping ensure smooth and efficient kitchen workflow during service hours.
This position requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable working all kitchen stations, assisting with prep work as needed, supporting overall kitchen cleanliness and organization, and helping maintain a positive and professional team environment. Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, time management, and a sense of urgency are essential for success in this role.
Hot line responsibilities include working with fryer, griddle, burners, salamander, and grill. Cold line responsibilities include salads, cold plating, and station organization. You must be willing to learn and oversee all stations, assist with prep as needed, and support overall kitchen cleanliness and operations.
We are a playful, wine-forward cocktail bar serving a unique take on elevated bar bites. Our menu ranges from traditional comfort foods such as french fries and burgers to fresh items like avocado toast and grilled chicken.
We are also an event venue that serves hundreds of guests at a time. The Lead Line Cook must be comfortable assisting with banquet prep and execution for buffet-style, tray-passed, family-style, and plated events while ensuring timely production and presentation standards are met.
