American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical position requiring 1+ year of experience, ACLS/BLS certification, and floating to Telemetry units.

Work on a general Medical Surgical floor within a hospital setting
-
Float to Telemetry units and affiliate hospitals nearby as needed
-
Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
-
14-week assignment length
-
Expected to work 3 of 5 Winter holidays

Active RN license (KY State or Compact) required at time of consideration

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience required

Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring

Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams

Proficient in isolation precautions/PPE, non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care

At least one professional reference required for consideration

Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit, including respiratory care and telemetry monitoring when floating

Travel experience is preferred but not required, and first-time travelers will be considered

Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted

Previous UK-affiliated staff must have a 6-month gap in employment before returning as a traveler

All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration, as later requests will not be approved
