Salternative Spa is a luxury wellness and medical spa in Geneva, Illinois, offering an elevated approach to relaxation, recovery, skincare, and aesthetics. As we relaunch and expand our services, we are building a team dedicated to creating an exceptional experience from the moment each guest walks through our doors.
We are seeking a warm, polished, and highly organized Part-Time Spa Receptionist / Guest Experience Associate to be the welcoming face of Salternative Spa and help deliver the high level of service our guests expect.
Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests and create a professional, relaxing, and attentive first impression
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, rescheduling, and cancellations
- Answer phone calls, emails, and guest enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
- Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately
- Process payments, gift cards, memberships, packages, and retail purchases
- Educate guests on spa services, treatments, memberships, and products
- Assist guests with selecting and booking appropriate services
- Maintain a polished, organized, and welcoming reception and relaxation area
- Support retail displays and maintain product presentation and inventory
- Coordinate with massage therapists, estheticians, and other providers to ensure the guest experience runs smoothly
- Help maintain accurate guest profiles and appointments within the booking system
- Assist with light administrative duties and day-to-day spa operations
- Proactively anticipate guest needs and help resolve concerns with professionalism and discretion
- Uphold Salternative Spa’s standards for luxury service, cleanliness, presentation, and hospitality
What We’re Looking For
- Previous reception, hospitality, spa, salon, medical office, or customer service experience preferred
- Friendly, confident, and professional communication skills
- Naturally warm and welcoming with a genuine interest in providing exceptional guest service
- Polished and professional appearance
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable using booking systems, computers, email, and point-of-sale systems
- Interest in wellness, skincare, beauty, or aesthetics is a plus
- Previous luxury hospitality or spa experience is a strong plus
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time: approximately 15–20 hours per week
- Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
- Flexible availability preferred, including some evenings and weekends depending on spa needs
