Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pipe Layer to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing underground piping systems essential for infrastructure projects, including pipelines for water, sewer, force main, and storm drainage. Your expertise will ensure that all pipe installations are completed accurately, efficiently, and safely, contributing to the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to determine pipe layout and installation requirements.
- Lay pipes with precision using pipe lasers and other alignment tools to ensure proper slope and positioning.
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks related to pipe supports or trench backfilling as needed.
- Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation begins, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with pipeline components and heavy machinery on construction sites.
- Assist with pipeline testing, inspection, and troubleshooting to verify integrity before project completion.
Experience
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, construction site procedures, and utility locating techniques.
- Hands-on experience with concrete forming, finishing, and pipeline installation is highly desirable..
- Prior work on construction sites involving plumbing or pipeline projects will be advantageous.
