LOGISTICS Supervisor Job Summary
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced logistics supervisor to join our growing organization. In this position, you will oversee and manage our entire supply chain. You will organize and monitor the storage and distribution of goods, ensuring optimum efficiency and productivity with an eye on all stages of the order cycle. Our overall goal is to find the right person to manage the entire process, enhancing business growth, ensuring sustainability, and increasing customer satisfaction.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Supervises logistics and responsible for all logistics functions.
· Oversees the day-to-day workflow of inbound and outbound related logistics.
· Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Develops the logistics operation to provide a variety of services including organization, storage, materials management, and fulfillment services.
· Gathers needed information on and understanding of customer demands; meets specific needs for transloading, just-in-time shipping, inventory management, distribution, and fulfillment.
· Identifies problems and inefficiencies in logistics processes; presents and implements enhancements and solutions to address these issues.
· Maintains current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient processes.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Flexibility with schedule – oversee 12-hour shipping/receiving team
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
· Excellent analytical skills.
· Ability to perform multiple tasks and a variety of duties.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Proficient with computer-based management systems for inventory control, shipping operations, and fulfillment services.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
· Five + years of experience in distribution or transportation industry required.
- Proven record of successful management in both distribution and logistics
- Past success in cultivating, leading, and managing staff
- Experience and proficiency in standard logistics software
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Able to prioritize work, delegate, and meet deadlines
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and/or sitting on a motorized truck.
· Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at a time.
· Motorized Truck (Forklift) Certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
