Indy Excavating and Utilities, is seeking a skilled and reliable CCTV Sewer Camera Operator to join our construction team! The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a high-resolution camera system to inspect, diagnose, and verify underground infrastructure. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of machine maintenance, and strict adherence to safety protocols. *Experience preferred but Company is willing to provide training if deemed appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CCTV equipment and robotic cameras.
- Locate underground utilities using Sonde technology.
- Perform daily maintenance checks to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
- Follow site plans and instructions from supervisors or engineers.
- Load and unload equipment and materials safely.
- Assist in routine maintenance and repairs of machinery as needed.
- Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient computer kills with relevant software.
- Ability to work with others in a crew or independently.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures on site.
- Complete required paperwork such as logs, inspection reports, and timesheets.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana Driver’s License and safe driving record; CDL may be required depending on equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a pipe layer or in a similar construction role.
- Familiarity with construction tools, pipe-laying equipment, and materials.
- Competent and confident operating and reading Pipe Lasers.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as maps, operating manuals, and safety guidelines
- Understanding of traffic control setup and maintenance
- Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity, with the ability to lift over 50 pounds and perform tasks that require bending, standing, walking, and climbing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of NASSCO PACP (Pipeline Assessment Certification Program)
- OSHA certification or other relevant safety training is a plus.
Work Conditions
- Outdoor construction environment; may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions.
- Frequent bending, lifting (up to 75 lbs), standing, and working in confined spaces or trenches.
