Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Current Operations Specialist to join our team! This position is contingent upon contract award. The Current Operations Specialist will provide current operations support to USARCENT G2, maintaining situational awareness of ongoing operations, intelligence activities, emerging requirements, and threats within the USARCENT Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Duties:
- Review daily Operations Orders (OPORDs), Fragmentary Orders (FRAGOs), CENTCOM Night Orders, and other operational guidance.
- Identify tasks and requirements pertaining to G2 and coordinate and track assigned actions through completion.
- Maintain situational awareness of current operations, intelligence activities, and emerging threats.
- Develop and maintain intelligence running estimates, battle tracking, and common operational picture (COP) information.
- Disseminate indications and warnings (I&W) messages and other operational or intelligence reporting.
- Prepare and provide situational and intelligence spot reports in verbal and written formats.
- Evaluate information received by the operations center and guidance from USARCENT leadership to identify emerging requirements and keep G2 leadership informed.
- Support preparation of operational updates, briefings, reports, and other staff products.
- Coordinate current operations information and requirements with appropriate USARCENT staff sections and mission partners.
Qualifications:
- Must have 3–5 years of relevant current operations, military operations, intelligence, or headquarters staff experience preferred.
- Battle Staff NCO Course, Officer Career Course, or equivalent military professional development preferred.
- Experience with the military orders process, including reviewing and developing OPORDs and FRAGOs, preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with cloud-based workflows preferred.
- Familiarity with Maven, AIDP, and other DoD situational awareness tools and applications highly desired.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain required Government access and credentials, including a Common Access Card (CAC), and comply with applicable DoD, Army, installation, information assurance, security, and training requirements.

Pay: From $63,151.52 per year
