IT Support / Network Installation Technician
The Vibe Credit Union Showplace is a 600,000-square-foot state-of-the-art exposition, conference, and banquet center hosting trade shows, conventions, corporate conferences, and large-scale public events throughout the year.
We are currently seeking an entry-level IT Support / Network Installation Technician to assist with exhibitor service installations, networking equipment setup, troubleshooting, and technical support for trade shows and events. Basic electrical voltage 120V and breaker and cord knowledge plus low-voltage cabling knowledge is a must. This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in the industry who wants to gain hands-on experience and learn the commercial side of IT, networking, and event technology in a fast-paced event and entertainment environment.
Responsibilities Include:
· Understanding of IP ranges, A B C D E
· Layer 3 Routing knowledge
· Layer 2 Routing Knowledge
· Wi-Fi Spectrum understanding 2.4 5 6 7 bands
· Understanding of VLANS & Trucks and Access Ports
· Comfortable with heights since some of the units require the lift to access
· Knowledge of test equipment including data line checkers and Wi-Fi testing software
· Install, run, terminate, and organize CAT5/CAT6 data lines
Assist with installation and setup of:
· Routers
· Switches
· Wireless access points
· TVs and digital displays
· Security cameras
· POS and network-connected devices
· Troubleshoot network connectivity and hardware issues
· Assist with configuring usernames, passwords, domains, and connected devices
· Provide basic technical support for staff and event clients
· Label, organize, and maintain network infrastructure
· Work alongside electricians to assist with low-voltage and basic power runs when needed
· Maintain clean and organized work areas
· Safely operate ladders and basic hand/power tools
· Work directly under the Electrical Manager
Requirements:

· Familiarity with tools, cable management, and troubleshooting
· Strong communication skills and professional attitude
· Dependable and punctual
Preferred (Not Required):
· Experience with low-voltage/data cabling
· Networking or IT support experience
· Knowledge of routers, switches, and Wi-Fi systems
· Experience with camera systems or access control
· Electrical, construction, or trade experience
· This position offers hands-on experience working with real-world networking infrastructure and event technology in a fast-paced venue environment

Pay Based on Experience: $14.00 – $18.00/hr
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
