Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to infection prevention management protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including dental x-ray procedures and 3D scans using advanced imaging technology.
- Manage medical documentation and records accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and dental sterilization procedures.
- Support administrative tasks such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, copay estimates and managing dental coding.
Requirements
- Two years experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical documentation and records management.
- Perform sterilization.
