Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Retail Guide to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while educating customers about cannabis products, ensuring a positive and informative experience. The role requires a deep understanding of the cannabis industry, product types, and legal requirements, as well as the ability to make product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Provide accurate information on cannabis products, including flower, edibles, concentrates, and accessories.
- Educate customers on consumption methods, dosages, and product effects.
- Make personalized product recommendations based on customer preferences and requirements.
- Ensure all transactions comply with California state cannabis laws and regulations.
- Verify customer age and identification in compliance with legal guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor and dispensary environment.
- Stay up-to-date with new products, strains, and industry trends.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Contribute to the overall team effort to meet sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 21, in accordance with California law.
- Previous retail, customer service, or cannabis industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, consumption methods, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain products and make recommendations.
- Familiarity with state cannabis laws and regulatory requirements.
- High level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle inventory.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with a dispensary point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Passion for the cannabis industry and its positive impact on health and wellness.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment.
- Must be comfortable interacting with a wide range of customers, including medical and recreational users.
