Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our manufacturing team working in a climate controlled facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, blueprint reading, and mechanical principles. The CNC Machinist will play a critical role in ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications using advanced machining techniques and tools.
Responsibilities
- Set up, and operate CNC lathes, primarily using Mazak controls.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to produce precise parts.
- Perform precision measurements with calipers, micrometers, and gages to verify part accuracy.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Select appropriate tooling and tooling adjustments for various machining tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical principles, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of tooling selection and maintenance of CNC machines.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements.
- Knowledge of Mazak controls or similar CNC control systems preferred.
- Ability to work safely with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues efficiently. - Familiarity with oilfield thread connections (API, washpipe, tubing, casing, etc) preferred.
- Ability to program Mazak lathe
- Pay is depending on experience.
