Howdy! We're looking for a brand ambassador to rep Big Country in the greater San Antonio area and pour samples of our organic craft beer and hard seltzer at in-store grocery demos, festivals, and event activations.
You'll typically be set up at Whole Foods, H-E-B, and Total Wine locations, plus the occasional beer festival or brand activation. It's a pretty fun gig if you like talking to people about beer.
What You'll Be Doing
- In-store demos run about three hours, with 30 minutes on either end for setup and breakdown. You'll purchase the product and ice on-site (we'll reimburse you), and we'll provide everything else — tablecloth, signage, sampling cups, stickers, and a full kit to get your table looking sharp. We'll also send reference photos so you know exactly what the setup should look like. Joshua will also train you on-site so you'll know the ropes.
- Get to know the brand. Big Country is a certified organic brewery with a solid lineup of beers and hard seltzers, so there's genuinely good stuff to talk about. We'll send you everything you need, brand background, product info, and answers to the questions we hear most so you feel confident fielding whatever comes your way. We'll have training meeting going over all the info and a short brand quiz so you'll feel confident chatting about the brand to anyone!
- Track your interactions. After each event, you'll log basic data like number of samples poured, total conversations, and any product feedback you picked up. It helps us understand what's resonating and who we're reaching.
- Festivals are a bit more hands-on — think 10x10 pop-up tent, a cooler, cases of beer, and a folding table. Nothing too crazy, but good to know going in.
What We're Looking For
- TABC Certified (or willing to get certified)
- Background in food service, sales, or customer service is a big plus
- Friendly, energetic, and easy to be around — people should want to take a sample from you!
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings
- A put-together appearance — we'll provide a Big Country t-shirt and hat; just show up in jeans and you're good to go
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
