Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and hygiene, to promote independence.
- Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to track progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Implement behavior management strategies aligned with individualized care plans to support positive behavior change.
- Support clients during therapeutic activities designed to improve communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by ensuring confidentiality of medical records and client information.
- Collaborate with supervising behavior analysts and team members to adapt interventions based on client needs.
- Provide home-based behavioral support, creating a safe and engaging environment for clients in their natural settings.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Strong data collection skills to accurately monitor client progress over time.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior management strategies effectively.
- Prior experience in special education or teaching children with disabilities is highly valued.
