The Hotel Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accounting functions at the hotel level for The Portland Collection. This role ensures efficient financial operations across multiple hotel properties, including budgeting, month-end close, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The supervisor will also develop and enforce accounting procedures to maintain audit compliance, preparing reports for ownership, and assisting with annual audits.

General Responsibilities:
- Oversee the budgeting process, including compiling field schedules and coordinating the entry of General Operating Profit (GOP) figures.
- Develop and implement Accounting SOPs to ensure audit compliance and consistency across all accounting processes.
- Prepare and send monthly owner reporting, including final email communication and report delivery.
- Serve as an expert in Sales and Use and Occupancy Tax, training staff, reviewing ProfitSword for variances, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Streamline month-end closing and bank reconciliation processes using Sage Intacct and other available software to improve efficiency.
- Handle accounting entries for Pre-Opening and Disposition entities, including sales or acquisitions.
- Prepare quarterly bonus calculations and ensure accuracy in the reporting.
- Upload UKG Payroll data into Sage Intacct until it is transferred to the payroll manager.
- Communicate month-end close cycles effectively with operations and accounting teams to ensure smooth transitions and accurate reporting.
- Assist with yearly financial audit preparation, ensuring all necessary documents and reports are ready for auditors.
- Administer Sage Intacct, including managing user access, creating new GL codes, generating reports, and ensuring the proper upload of budgets at year-end.
- Track and manage accounts receivable processes and approvals, guiding hotels to ensure timely payments and resolution of discrepancies.
- Provide oversight decentralized accounting Director of Finance to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Other accounting projects as needed to support the hotel's financial operations and compliance.
- Accounting functions for the Portland Sheraton at Sable Oaks, Cambria, Portland Harbor Hotel, Inn at Diamond Cover and Thompson's Point Residence Inn/Moxy.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of previous accounting experience, hotel preferred
- Proficient working knowledge of MS Office programs
- Strong leadership skills
- Team player with great interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to communicate at different levels within the organization
- Strong multi-tasking abilities, handle multiple priorities
- Possess the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
- Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented
