Our shop is looking for a Certified Mechanic to perform Overhauls on engines/transmissions, replace, and rebuild components. Perform the repair as outlined in the repair order with efficiency.
- Diagnoses the cause of the malfunction.
- Removes and disassembles engine/transmission unit and performs the repair.
- Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Advises service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be made.
- Communicates with service manager to obtain needed parts.
- Installs repaired engine/transmission, replaces fluids and makes appropriate adjustments.
- Road tests vehicle when required or refers to another technician.
- Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifys service manager immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
- Keeps shop area neat and clean.
You are required to provide your own tools, some jobs require specialty tools that can be located at the shop.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $40.75 per hour

Experience:
- Automotive repair: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Mechanic License (Preferred)
