Dana's Pizza is a busy, family-owned kosher pizzeria in the heart of downtown Englewood. We're looking for an experienced, energetic team member who thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment and genuinely enjoys providing outstanding customer service.
This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of the front of the restaurant, multitask under pressure, and help keep the kitchen running smoothly. We want someone who is knowledgeable, efficient, takes pride in their work, and treats the restaurant as if it were their own.
What You'll Do
- Welcome every customer with a friendly, professional attitude and be the face of our restaurant.
- Take orders in person and over the phone with accuracy and efficiency.
- Operate the front counter and POS system.
- Serve pizza by the slice and prepare menu items such as French fries and other quick-service foods.
- Work closely with our pizza maker to assist with food preparation and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist with food prep and ensure ingredients and supplies are stocked and ready for service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary restaurant at all times, including the dining room, front counter, kitchen, prep areas, and restrooms.
- Help monitor inventory, restock supplies, and communicate when products or ingredients are running low.
- Understand and consistently follow opening and closing procedures to ensure the restaurant is fully prepared for service and properly secured at the end of each shift.
- Identify operational issues, customer concerns, or equipment problems and communicate them promptly and professionally to the owner.
- Handle busy lunch and dinner rushes while maintaining exceptional customer service.
- Work as part of a team and step in wherever needed to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- 3+ years of restaurant, deli, pizzeria, or fast-casual food service experience (required).
- A customer-first mindset and outstanding communication skills.
- The ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude—you don't wait to be told what needs to be done.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- The ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality or cleanliness.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Bonus If You Have
- Experience working in a pizzeria or kosher restaurant.
- Experience with food prep and kitchen support.
- POS/cash register experience.
- Experience with inventory management and ordering.
