Job Description
REQUIRED CRITERIA:
- High School Graduate
- Experience working with children
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in mathematics, and ability to communicate fluently in English, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to demonstrate basic tech skills on computers, tablets, and laptops.
- Ability to work well with other assigned staff to establish a positive learning environment for students.
- Ability to work successfully with students with various disabilities.
- Ability to physically perform job duties including standing, walking, running, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to lift or move 40 pounds.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of student’s information.
- Willingness to fulfill the specific performance responsibilities of the position as they relate to individual student’s needs.
- Evidence of good moral character as determined by reference checks, fingerprinting review and observation.
- Ability to work successfully with children with disabilities.
- Willing to be trained in CPR and Crisis Prevention
PREFERRED CRITERIA:
- Ability to provide academic and physical support to students with disabilities as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Computer proficiency
- Experience with school-age students.
