Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, creativity, and social skills
- Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to proper child supervision protocols and behavior management strategies
- Administer basic first aid and CPR in case of emergencies, following mandated reporting laws when necessary
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, needs, and daily activities
- Support early childhood education goals by assisting with homework, teaching foundational skills, and fostering positive behavior
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages exploration while ensuring safety at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, babysitting, nannying, or preschool programs
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged
- Strong ability to plan age-appropriate activities for children of different developmental stages
- Excellent child supervision skills with a focus on safety and behavior management
- Effective communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with young children
