Entry Level Engineering Tech supports manufacturing and engineering processes, reviewing drawings, extracting part numbers, and preparing quotations. Works indoors in Denver, starting as a contract role that can transition to permanent. Compensation ranges $25-$30 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
Review engineering drawings to identify components and technical requirements.
Extract part numbers and develop material requirements.
Prepare accurate material and labor quotations for customer projects.
Research alternate or equivalent components when needed.
Contact vendors for pricing, lead times, and manufacturing capabilities.
Communicate technical requirements to vendors for accurate quotes and estimates.
Support engineering by evaluating designs, documentation, and manufacturing requirements.
Assist with new product development, improvements, and engineering change activities.
Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to increase quality and efficiency.
Identify non-conforming products or processes and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, or 7–10 years of relevant engineering or manufacturing experience.
Experience supporting manufacturing processes, engineering projects, or technical product development.
Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
Experience extracting part numbers, identifying components, and reviewing bills of materials (BOMs).
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with AI tools to improve efficiency and technical research.
Project management experience is a plus.
Ability to communicate technical requirements to vendors and internal teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or technical estimating.
Background in electromechanical assemblies, wire harnesses, electronics manufacturing, or other technical manufacturing environments.
Experience working with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
