The Structural Steel Fabrications Quality Control Inspector, is responsible for ensuring that steel fabrications, processes, and products comply with technical specifications, safety regulations, and established quality standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Material Inspection (structural steel fabrications)
2. Process Control
3. Testing and Inspections
4. Documentation and Reporting
5. Compliance with Standards
- Ensure compliance with industrial standards.
- Verify safety and quality requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to reduce defects.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams.
7.Occupational Safety
- Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report risks and potential accidents.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of metrology and blueprint reading.
- Ability to use measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of welding and metal structures.
- Attention to detail.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Verify safe working conditions.
Experience and Education
- Minimum of three (3) years in fabrication or installation of steel structures and welding processes
- Blueprint and drawing interpretation and analysis
- Preferable supervising experience
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
