General Laborer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable General Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of tasks including operating laser machines, routers, press brakes, and assisting with assembly, plumbing, electrical tasks, and installations. This is a hands-on role suited for someone with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Laser Operator:
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines to cut and shape metal or other materials.
- Ensure precise cuts according to blueprints and design specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot laser equipment as needed.
Router Operator:
- Operate CNC router machines to create parts based on production needs.
- Program and set machine parameters for different materials and project specifications.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance on the router machine to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or technical issues with the router as they arise.
Press Brake Operator:
- Set up and operate press brake machines for bending and shaping metal sheets.
- Adjust machine settings to accommodate various thicknesses of material.
- Verify dimensions and specifications for each job to ensure accuracy.
Assembly:
- Assemble products based on work instructions and blueprints.
- Ensure all components fit together properly and meet quality standards.
- Perform basic quality checks and make adjustments as needed.
Plumbing & Electrical:
- Assist with basic plumbing tasks such as pipe fitting, fixture installations, and maintenance.
- Perform basic electrical work, including wiring, installing outlets, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues.
Installation:
- Assist in the installation of products or components at various job sites.
- Follow safety protocols during installation and ensure the proper handling of materials and tools.
Weld Department:
- Perform welding tasks, including MIG and TIG welding based on project specifications.
- Operate cutting tools and equipment to prepare materials for welding and assembly.
- Perform drilling operations accurately according to work instructions.
- Inspect welded products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain and clean welding and cutting equipment, performing routine maintenance as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines to prevent hazards associated with welding, cutting, and drilling tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with laser cutting, CNC routing, press brake operation, assembly work, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, and carry objects.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Must be comfortable working in a production environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and potentially hazardous materials.
