Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations at our plant. The Production Manager will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production by managing schedules, resources, and cross-functional teams. The role focuses on meeting production targets, optimizing processes, minimizing waste, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and supervise production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.

Manage and develop production staff, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and shift coordination.

Oversee plant operations to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar) to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.

Monitor production metrics and KPIs, prepare reports, and communicate performance to senior management.

Collaborate with supply chain, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues and support new product introductions.

Control production budgets, labor allocation, and material usage to meet financial objectives.

Enforce and promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence across the plant.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

5+ years of progressive manufacturing or production experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Demonstrated experience in plant operations, production planning, and process optimization.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and safety regulations.

Proven track record with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and project management.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.

Proficiency with production planning tools, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing production demands.
