As a dishwasher/porter you will be tasked with replenishing items, helping to unload supplies from deliveries and preparing cooking sites. An important function in this role is ensuring a kitchen’s compliance with all food procedures and safety regulations. Success in this position will be exhibited by prioritizing tasks that significantly impact customer satisfaction.
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans and place in proper storage area- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks
- Clean garbage cans with water and bleach
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Supports other staff members when needed
- Stows away and polishes dishes, cutlery and cookware
- Maintains chemical levels and temperatures to comply with safety measures
- Transfers equipment and supplies from storage to work area
Ability to execute assigned tasks with precision and speed- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Prior work experience in kitchen or cleaning roles
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to stand and move for long periods
