What We Need
Corpay is seeking a Director, Center for Delivery Excellence within our Corporate Overhead division based outside the Atlanta area. This position falls under our information security line of business. In this role, the Director, Center for Delivery Excellence will be responsible for leading enterprise-wide project and portfolio governance, ensuring the successful execution of strategic initiatives across multiple technology and business portfolios. This role oversees project delivery performance, portfolio reporting, executive communications, portfolio review forums, and Steering Committee (SteerCo) governance processes.
The Director serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership, delivery managers, project managers, business stakeholders, and technology leaders to ensure projects are aligned with organizational objectives, delivered on time and within budget, and supported by accurate status reporting, risk management, and executive decision-making.

As a Director, Center for Delivery Excellence, you will be expected to work in an onsite environment reporting to our Peachtree Corner office location 5 days a week. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Leading governance and oversight of a diverse portfolio of strategic technology, infrastructure, digital transformation, and business initiatives.
- Establishing and maintaining portfolio management standards, methodologies, reporting frameworks, and delivery governance practices.
- Ensuring portfolio priorities align with enterprise objectives, business strategies, and funding commitments.
- Monitoring portfolio health, resource capacity, dependencies, risks, and financial performance.
- Driving project intake, prioritization, and portfolio planning processes.
- Facilitating executive-level decision-making regarding project investments, priorities, and resource allocations.
- Providing leadership and guidance to Delivery Managers and Project Managers across multiple portfolios.
- Monitoring project schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Ensuring consistent application of project management methodologies and delivery standards.
- Driving accountability for delivery commitments and achievement of key project objectives.
- Escalating critical risks and delivery concerns to senior leadership with recommended mitigation strategies.
- Supporting cross-functional coordination to resolve complex project challenges.
- Owning the development and distribution of executive portfolio dashboards and project status reporting.
- Establishing reporting standards for project health, milestones, financial performance, resource utilization, and delivery metrics.
- Consolidating portfolio-level updates into concise executive summaries for senior leadership.
- Ensuring reporting provides accurate, actionable insights and supports effective decision-making.
- Developing and maintaining portfolio scorecards, KPI reporting, and performance metrics.
- Planning, organizing, and facilitating recurring project portfolio review meetings.
- Coordinating agenda development, presentation materials, status reports, and discussion topics.
- Driving portfolio health reviews focused on:
- Delivery progress
- Financial performance
- Risks and issues
- Resource capacity
- Cross-project dependencies
- Strategic alignment
- Tracking action items, decisions, and executive directives resulting from review sessions.
- Ensuring follow-through and accountability across project teams.
- Managing enterprise Steering Committee governance processes.
- Coordinating SteerCo meeting schedules, agendas, executive presentations, and decision-support materials.
- Partnering with project sponsors and business leaders to prepare executive-level updates.
- Presenting portfolio performance, risks, issues, and key decisions requiring executive approval.
- Documenting decisions, action items, and governance outcomes.
- Ensuring projects adhere to established SteerCo governance requirements and stage-gate reviews.
- Building strong relationships with executive sponsors, business leaders, technology leaders, and delivery teams.
- Serving as a trusted advisor on portfolio health, delivery performance, and governance best practices.
- Facilitating effective communication between project teams and executive stakeholders.
- Supporting strategic planning, annual portfolio planning, and investment discussions.
- Driving maturity improvements across project and portfolio management disciplines.
- Promoting best practices in governance, reporting, risk management, and delivery execution.
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting automation, portfolio visibility, and delivery processes.
- Leveraging project portfolio management (PPM) tools, dashboards, and analytics to enhance decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project, program, or portfolio management.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing PMO, Delivery Management, or Portfolio Management functions.
- Experience managing large, complex portfolios and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong executive presentation and communication skills.
- Experience facilitating executive governance forums and Steering Committees.
- Advanced knowledge of project and portfolio management methodologies.
- Strong analytical, financial, and reporting capabilities.
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or related certifications.
- Experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) platforms.
- Experience supporting C-level executives and senior leadership teams.
- Experience managing technology transformation, cloud, digital, infrastructure, or enterprise application portfolios.
