Maintenance Technician / Handyman (Spanish Speaking) – Chicagoland Area
Magnum Insurance Agency is a well-established and professional insurance agency with more than 45 years of experience serving our communities. We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician / Handyman who must be able to communicate in Spanish to help maintain our office locations throughout the Chicagoland area. English communication skills are a plus but not required.
This is a full-time position for someone who is dependable, hands-on, and comfortable traveling between different office locations.
Pay
$19.00 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience
Car allowance provided
Gasoline expenses covered
Responsibilities
- Visit Magnum Insurance offices throughout Chicago and the surrounding North, South, and suburban areas.
- Perform general office maintenance and repairs.
- Handle basic handyman work, including minor plumbing, electrical, painting, patching, furniture repairs, and general upkeep.
- Replace ceiling tiles, light bulbs, fixtures, locks, and other basic office items as needed.
- Assemble, move, or repair office furniture and equipment when necessary.
- Identify maintenance issues that require a specialized contractor.
- Help ensure all offices remain safe, professional, and in good working condition.
- Respond to maintenance requests at different locations as needed.
Requirements
- Must be able to communicate effectively in Spanish.
- English communication skills are a plus, but not required.
- Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman work, building maintenance, or a similar position.
- Basic knowledge of common repairs and maintenance.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle and be comfortable driving throughout the Chicagoland area.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Ability to safely use basic tools and maintenance equipment.
- Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
