Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC machines to produce precision components in accordance with engineering specifications. This role is vital to ensuring high-quality production, adherence to safety standards, and efficient manufacturing processes. The ideal applicant will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CNC programming and CAM software, and experience working within a fast-paced factory environment.
Duties
- Set up CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, lathes, and other automated equipment using technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
- Program CNC machines utilizing G-code, Fanuc controls, and CAM programming software to ensure accurate machining operations.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining parameters and tooling requirements.
- Operate various industrial equipment such as stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and welding tools while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and ensure quality control.
- Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules; perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, including materials handling, fabrication, and packaging of finished parts.
- Maintain accurate documentation of operations, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks and support fabrication processes as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to uphold a safe working environment for all personnel.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar industrial equipment within a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAD software like SolidWorks or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
- Hands-on experience with tooling setup, machining processes, precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers), and quality assurance procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment issues effectively and perform basic repairs or adjustments.
- Prior work experience in manufacturing facilities involving fabrication, assembly lines, or packaging operations is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills necessary for measuring dimensions and calculating machining parameters.
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments including proper use of hand tools and industrial equipment.
- Warehouse experience related to materials handling and inventory management is advantageous.
