We are currently hiring Cook to join our culinary team at The Village at Unity - Hamlet!
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, preparing high-quality meals, and being part of a team that takes pride in delivering great dining experiences.
At Leisure Care managed communities, our hospitality-driven senior living communities focus on creating meaningful daily experiences for residents, and our culinary team plays a key role in making that happen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards
- Assist with food prep, cooking, plating, and kitchen organization
- Maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient meal service
- Follow dietary guidelines and resident food preferences when preparing meals
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a cook, line cook, or kitchen team member
- Experience in restaurants, hospitality, healthcare, or senior living preferred
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
