How You Can Help
The AP and AR Specialist will assist the Director of Finance with accounting, financial controls, internal budgets and finances.
Your day-to-day may include...
- Helping with financial data entry and general bookkeeping
- Managing data, records, and reports by checking for errors and verifying accuracy of information
- Preparing receipts, vouchers, invoices, etc. for entry into data sheets
- Ensuring all revenues, invoices, liabilities, and payables are accurately recorded
- Ensuring invoices, contracts, and support documentations are filed correctly in electronic format
- Helping perform monthly reconciliation for each bank account
- Processing vendor, payroll, and any other third-party payment as needed via check or ACH
- Assisting in preparation of financial statements and reports
- Assisting in creating and setting budgets, payment schedules, and workflows and SOPs
- Assisting in the implementation and ongoing use of any accounting, revenue, and payables systems, software, and/or workflows
- Updating and maintaining financial records
- Preparing spreadsheets and reports as needed or requested by management
- Independently prioritizing daily tasks and responsibilities to ensure timely and accurate completion
- Providing quality customer service to our employees, vendors, and any other third-party groups
- Staying informed on all company policy and practices (including data privacy)
- Attending and taking notes at all financial department meetings
- Assisting with audits as necessary
- Adhering to current accounting/finance laws and regulations
- Working to company standards
- Taking direction from and reporting to the Financial Director
- Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
- 5+ years of working experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- High proficiency in QuickBooks
- Strong ability to learn new systems
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
