Description
CTI is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering CAD Technician for its Akron, Ohio office. Working under a variety of Project Managers, this position will be responsible for CAD design using AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare figures, maps, cross-sections, and design drawings for a variety of projects in municipal infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Work closely with assigned engineer(s) to assist in development of designs and preparation of studies and reports.
Prepare drawings, figures, or base maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D & Revit
Assist in field surveys and reduction of field survey data. Will require travel over uneven and sloping surface
Assist in preparing quantity take-offs for cost estimates
Interpret, manipulate, and plot field survey and topographic data
Develop and utilize three-dimensional terrain models to produce cross-sections and volume computations.
Prepare easement and property descriptions and drawings. Obtain deed and tax map information as needed
Qualifications
Associates degree in drafting/design and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years experience designing using AutoCAD Civil 3D or Revit
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (ability to work effectively with clients, regulators/reviewers, peers, support staff)
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Must present valid United States work authorization (required)
