Our Kumon Math & Reading Center is looking for a bilingual Spanish/English Teaching Assistantwho is energetic, dependable, patient, and enjoys helping children build confidence and independence.
This is more than a typical tutoring job. You’ll work directly with students in our classroom and have the opportunity to connect with families—especially Spanish-speaking families who are interested in learning more about Kumon and our English as a Foreign Language (EFL) program.

What You’ll Do
Help Students Succeed
- Assist students with Kumon Math, Reading, and EFL worksheets.
- Encourage students to work independently while providing support when needed.
- Help Spanish-speaking students understand directions and classroom expectations.
- Review and grade student work and provide appropriate guidance.
- Create a positive, welcoming, and productive classroom environment.
- Help with daily center operations, including check-in/check-out and organizing student work.
Connect with Families
- Welcome current and prospective families to our center.
- Help conduct new parent meetings and introduce families to the Kumon Method.
- Speak confidently with Spanish-speaking parents and answer basic questions in Spanish.
- Help prospective families understand our English as a Foreign Language (EFL) program and how it can benefit their child.
- Help Spanish-speaking families feel comfortable and informed throughout the enrollment process.
- Build positive relationships with parents and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist with social media content in Spanish. Build relationships with other Spanish speaking communities and help with marketing efforts.
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
- Fluent in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing preferred).
- Warm, friendly, and comfortable talking with both children and adults.
- Confident communicating with parents and prospective families.
- Patient, encouraging, and genuinely enjoys working with kids.
- Dependable, punctual, and responsible.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced learning environment.
- A team player who is willing to learn and grow.
- Comfortable with Instagram and Facebook.
- Comfortable networking with other businesses in Spanish to share about the EFL program.
- Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, childcare, customer service, or working with children is a plus!

Schedule
Part-Time | Afternoons/Evenings and/or Saturdays
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 3-7 PM is preferred.
Flexible scheduling may be available around school or other commitments.
