Overview
Wellfleet Harbor Seafood Company is a beloved Cape Cod institution with a diverse portfolio of properties including restaurants, fish markets, a wholesale facility, a motel, and multiple employee housing locations. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of all our properties year-round.
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, upkeep, and operational readiness of all Mac's Seafood residential and commercial properties. This is a year-round, full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for all commercial and residential properties
- Coordinate and manage contractors, vendors, and service providers for repairs and projects
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with health, safety, and building codes
- Manage facilities budgets, track expenses, and source cost-effective solutions
- Respond to and prioritize maintenance requests and emergency repairs across all locations
- Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ensure all properties meet health department and regulatory requirements, particularly for food-service facilities
- Oversee landscaping, snow removal, and seasonal preparation at all sites
- Maintain records of repairs, warranties, permits, and inspections
- Manage keys, access systems, and security across properties
- Coordinate capital improvement projects and renovations as needed
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in facilities management, property management, or a related field
- Experience managing multiple properties or sites simultaneously
- Working knowledge of building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen and food-service facility requirements preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and respond to urgent maintenance issues as they arise
- Experience managing contractors and vendor relationships
- Proficiency with maintenance tracking software or willingness to learn
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
