Job Title: Family Law Paralegal (With Cross-Disciplinary Experience Preferred)

Job Summary Our growing New Jersey law firm is seeking an experienced paralegal specializing in New Jersey family law. You will manage matrimonial and domestic relations cases from inception through resolution. Experience in additional practice areas is highly valued to support our diverse caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft Pleadings: Prepare complaints, answers, motions, and certifications for NJ Family Court.
- Manage Case Files: Organize case files, maintain calendars, and track critical court deadlines.
- Prepare Financials: Complete New Jersey Case Information Statements (CIS) and analyze financial documents.
- Client Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients to gather discovery materials.
- Trial Preparation: Assemble trial binders, exhibit lists, and cross-examination materials.
- Cross-Practice Support: Assist with files in secondary practice areas
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Experience as a family law paralegal in New Jersey is required.
- NJ Procedure Knowledge: Deep familiarity with NJ Court Rules, family part motion practice, and CIS preparation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Case Management software such as Mycase and Microsoft Office products is preferred.
- Versatility: Experience in handling non-family law legal matters is desired.
- Education: Paralegal certificate or Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies preferred.
