Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to non emergency calls, providing immediate medical care to patients across diverse settings.
- Operate emergency vehicles safely on city streets, navigating efficiently to reach incident sites.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations.
Requirements
- Valid certification as an EMR, EMT, or AEMT with current licensure in good standing.
- Demonstrated critical care experience and hospital experience in emergency or trauma settings.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and trauma medicine principles.
- Experience with patient transport procedures and emergency medicine protocols.
- Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards.
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques, vital signs monitoring, and aseptic technique practices.
- Familiarity with pediatric emergency care and neonatal resuscitation procedures is highly desirable.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking during shifts.
- Excellent communication skills for clear documentation and effective coordination with medical teams.
