Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and other freight to various job sites and disposal locations. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to navigate diverse routes will ensure timely deliveries and efficient operations. Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks with manual transmission across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load and unload freight, including construction debris, hazardous materials (hazmat), or other cargo using truck loading equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks.
- Safely navigate GPS navigation systems to reach designated delivery points efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain proper documentation for each trip, including logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reports in accordance with logistics cargo handling protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the dump truck to identify mechanical issues or safety hazards, ensuring the vehicle remains in optimal condition.
- Follow all safety procedures related to hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous substances.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial truck driver, specifically with dump trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or roll-off trucks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of truck driving regulations including FMCSA and DOT guidelines for safe operation of heavy-duty vehicles.
- Experience in manual handling of freight, including load & unload procedures for freight such as freight containers or hazardous materials.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for over-the-road driving routes.
- Ability to operate specialized equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading cargo.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the role (e.g., Hazmat endorsement if applicable).
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and safety protocols related to dangerous goods transportation.

Pay: $27.00 - $31.25 per hour
