We are seeking an Assistant Cook to work in our school’s cafeteria Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 2:00 pm during the academic year. This person will be responsible for preparing and cooking hot and cold food for faculty, staff, and students.
Responsibilities:
· Follow the daily production sheet for approximates of quantity needed.
· Assist the Head Cook and other team members as needed for daily preparation. Additionally, assist with special events throughout the school year as needed.
· Ability to manage quantity cooking recipes and appropriately portion batch to line quantities.
· Anticipate timelines to replenish serving line in a timely manner to operate smoothly and efficiently.
· Responsible for following all Board of Health rules and regulations for institutional food service.
Qualifications:
· High School Degree/GED required.
· Excellent time management
· Must be able to prep food according to the Board of Health standards.
· Ability to communicate clearly and be willing to work together as a team member to create a positive, enthusiastic and friendly work environment.
· Highly accountable, reliable, and prompt, with a strong positive work ethic
· Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
