Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Manage dental instruments and maintain a sterile environment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Eaglesoft.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and medical imaging techniques.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration.
- Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement, patient assessment, and documentation review.
- Familiarity with infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards.
Pay: $43.00 - $51.00 per hour
