At Anytime Home and Pet Service, we are looking for motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate individuals to join our team and provide pet services (walking, drop-in visits, and overnight stays), as well as residential and commercial cleaning. Job type will depend on client demands and areas served.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care for dogs during walks. This role requires a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our furry clients while delivering excellent customer service to their owners. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION AND BE AVAILABLE FOR OVERNIGHT SITTINGS IN A CLIENT'S HOME.
Duties
- Communicate with clients (texts, pictures/videos and updates)
- 30-60 minute walks
- Drop-In Visits (potty breaks or short walk, feed/water, play time, administer medicine, etc)
- Overnight Pet Sitting
- Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization.
- Monitor the behavior and health of each dog during walks, reporting any concerns to the owner.
- Maintain control of dogs at all times, using proper handling techniques to ensure safety.
- Clean up after dogs during walks, adhering to local regulations regarding pet waste disposal.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs.
- Assist with training exercises during walks to reinforce good behavior and obedience.
Skills
- Proficient in dog handling techniques, demonstrating confidence in managing various breeds.
- Strong customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their concerns effectively.
- Experience in dog training can enhance the walking experience by reinforcing positive behaviors during outings.
