This is a Direct Hire opportunity serving customers across Berkshire County, with pay expected to be in the 50K range depending on experience.
You start your morning reviewing scheduled calls across Berkshire County—everything from a washer that’s vibrating to a refrigerator not cooling. You arrive, listen to the customer, verify symptoms, and get to work. Using wiring diagrams, service manuals, and your troubleshooting know-how, you pinpoint issues quickly and make safe, lasting repairs. Before you leave, you walk customers through proper use and maintenance to help prevent repeat problems.

Diagnose and repair washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers, microwaves, and refrigerators.

Inspect appliances for unusual noises, vibration, leaks, and loose or worn components.

Leverage manuals, guides, and experience to resolve complex faults.

Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics to trace issues.

Use test equipment (amp meters, volt meters) to isolate electrical problems.

Service electronic components including control boards and sensors.

Install and commission new appliances; troubleshoot performance concerns.

Repair refrigeration systems, including refrigerators and air conditioners.

Educate customers on correct operation and routine care.

Follow safety regulations and environmental standards, including proper handling and recycling of refrigerants such as CFCs and HCFCs.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Working knowledge of appliance mechanics, electrical systems, and refrigeration.

Hands-on skill with hand tools, soldering guns, and brazing torches.

Ability to read schematics and methodically troubleshoot.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Excellent customer service; comfortable working independently in the field.

Prior appliance repair experience.

Technical training or certification in appliance repair.

HVAC and refrigeration repair knowledge.
CORI/security check and drug testing will be required before you start.
