Growing locally owned company is hiring for Non-CDL drivers.
Delivery Route Driver (Non-CDL, reefer truck): This position is for a delivery route driver, delivering dairy products in a straight reefer box truck.
This position requires an individual that is a self-starter, motivated, and willing to go the extra mile.
We are a family owned company that is rapidly expanding. We have daily routes to the larger metro areas in Texas. Routes typically start early in the morning and are home by mid-afternoon. The driver will get a minimum of 35 hours per week.
This delivery route may include deliveries to the following geographic areas:
Central Texas, Houston, DFW, Austin, and San Antonio.
All deliveries are Monday - Friday, and you are home each evening!
This delivery driver must be able to:
- Deliver goods from one location to the next according to the specified route; however, use problem solving skills if the need arises to alter such route.
- Load and unload product throughout the entire route.
- Properly count and document deliveries.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
- Very adept with GPS
- Ensure proper cleanliness of interior/exterior of truck at all times.
- Report all malfunctions to supervisors – Monitored performance of vehicle toprevent the possible chance of break down in the middle of the transfer process, leading to serious loss.
- Ensure the trucks were in working and proper condition before starting any journey.
- Documented all important details and fuel costs throughout the journey and presented them to supervisor at close of day.
Driver Must Have:
- Knowledge of reefer truck equipment and its operations.
- Knowledge of the process of loading and unloading of goods.
- Knowledge of shipping and transportation documents.
- Ability to make decisions independently.
- Clean driving record.
- Must have at least 1-2 years experience driving straight/box trucks or CDL driving.
- Must be able to start work between 1am-4am
